Let the adventures begin!
The Adventure Zone – Excellent for group team building, life lessons and adventure seekers! Groups, business teams and ministry partners are always looking for something new and adventurous to incorporate into their outings. Now Country Lake offers a variety of new adventures just for you!
Experience the thrill of teamwork and survival in a safe and thrilling environment. We have taken the stress out of the paintball adventure. When you show up you will receive ALL of the equipment you need for a fun and safe experience including a safety briefing as well as instructions for using your equipment.
Try your skill at the Woods Field as you work your way up the ravine or protect the ridge from a strategic perch. Experience the thrill of being the hunted or the hunter, getting into a fire fight with the enemy protecting a bunker or build a strategy to capture the flag. Regardless of the game – you will learn to work together and have a blast doing it.
Climb our majestic 50 foot tower and enjoy a breathtaking view before taking the ride of your life down one of our four zip lines that stretch over three football fields in length (nearly 1,000 feet)! This activity will build confidence, improve team unity and is offered year around (weather permitting).
The Castle Field
Maybe your group would prefer more of an urban flair! The Castle Field takes on an entirely different feel. Our 35 foot castle set provides the perfect venue for urban assault scenarios and will require another level of team work as you work through strategies to rescue a hostage, recover the lost treasure or to simply defend the castle.
Participate as a group or enjoy a little practice time of your own at the sports complex centrally located on the ranch side of the lake. Put your best foot forward at Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Tether Ball, Horseshoes, Carpet Ball, Soccer, Softball, Wiffle Ball, Kickball, and Football.
Low Ropes Challenge Course
Effective Team Building in the meeting room or around dinner is often difficult. The Low Ropes Challenge Course offers an outdoor alternative that is sure to help your team exercise their problem solving skills, work together and learn more about each other in a non-threatening environment. Facilitate your own group or request a Country Lake guide to lead your team through the 12 challenge elements and the valuable lessons they each present. You will be challenged, you will laugh and you will learn to utilize the various skills and talents of everyone in your group.
It’s hard to beat the view from the middle of the lake as you glide effortlessly through the water in a kayak, canoe or paddleboat. On your journey you may locate a prime fishing spot where you may want to relax as you try your luck at catching a variety of fish including bluegill, bass, crappie and catfish. You may even snag a colorful Koi in your efforts (please keep it if you do – consider it our gift to you!)
Swim time at the Country Lake Beach is hard to beat and offers something for just about everyone. Relax in the shade of one of the Gazebos, try your skill at building sandcastles or test your courage on the ever popular lake toys. Try them all or choose your preference. Based on your desired level of adventure you can experience the Trapeze, the Summit Slide, the thrilling Zip Line (into the water) or “The Blob” – a camp favorite for sure!
Take a leisurely stroll around the lake or lace up your hiking shoes for more of a challenge and conquer the Knob Trail, a winding, uphill trail that takes you to the top of the ridge where the view is breathtaking. On a clear day you can see the Louisville skyline to the south – over 20 miles away and take a break on the benches before heading back down.
Sometimes getting away to spend quiet time with God is a challenge. Our prayer walk provides an opportunity to do just that as you follow the trail around the lake and pause at the various stations to sit and reflect or to take in the beauty of God’s creation. The peacefulness of the trail allows you to connect with God and limit the distractions that often serve as barriers.
